Iota Delta Receives Recognition at Convention

Iota Delta got early recognition from the International Fraternity at the first session of the week in Austin, Texas receiving the Orians Excellence Award. The Chapter has also been recognized for participating in the International Work Day and 100% phi phi kappa alpha participation.

The Friday award session also went well with Iota Delta continuing to receive recognition for its accomplishments. The Chapter received the Workday Man Power Award as well as the 25 man Pike U Commitment, 100+ Man Chapter Recognition, and a Scholarship Plate (3.0+ GPA). The Chapter was a finalist for the Management and Athletics programming awards. Finally, Steven Chase received Gold Pike U Certification for attending five Pike U events.

Iota Delta unfortunately did not win a 2010 Robert Adger Smythe Award. The Chapter's statistics were very similar in to many of the Chapters that did win Smythes. The Chapter is prepared to work even harder next year for a strong Associate class, more community service, and better grades to assure no disappointment at next year's Officer Leadership Academy.
