inside the globe39 viewsStage pillar and side door. Although everything looks marble, the pillars are actually made of wood and are just elaborately painted. It looks extremely realistic in person, and I did not believe the pillars were made of wood until i actually looked at them from about a foot away1 comments

01/20/05 - GPA destroyer74 viewsRight now i'm reading Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, and the book is single-handedly destroying my GPA, because i'd rather read it than do homework/study/etc. For what it's worth, so far the book has been a very entertaining and worthwhile read. I love how Steinbeck interupts the plot periodically in a monolouge-type fashion to describe the conditions of the depression-era dustbowls. It's absolutely fascinating. If you haven't yet, i reccomend you read this book.

06/17/07 - Property29 viewsFor Father's Day, my dad decided to buy 8 acres of land up in Burns Township northwest of Minneapolis. Though he hasn't closed yet, we decided to drive up and check it out. The house will have to be torn down due to some fire damage incurred earlier in the year, but the main thing my dad bought the place for is the giant pole barn (not pictured). Next year, he says he wants an RV to store up there. We'll see...8 comments
