Last Saturday, a group of brothers participated in Trunk or Treat. It’s a pretty cool spin on trick-or-treating where you give candy out of decorated cars. Half of us didn’t even know this was a thing until two hours before we had to be there. So we planned, shopped, decorated two cars, and then had a great time handing out candy to the families of the Rose-Hulman community.
Where just happy to be getting candy.
Reamer ponders what kind of decorations we’ll put on our trunk.
They turn to the internet to figure out what the kids like these days.
It’s just so hard connecting to those millennials.
“Wow . . . the price of candy has really gone up since my day.”
“Reamer, go find cheaper candy!!!”
Time is running out, so speeding through Walmart is necessary.
Little known fact: Walmart party tablecloths have almost as many uses as duct tape.
Wyrick wants a glow-in-the-dark chalice. Not for the kids. Just for himself.
Some of us start working on the decorations.
Some of us us just watch the work from a log.
Ninja Turtle Trunk!
Finished Sports Trunk!
I didn’t know there were 7 Ninja Turtles, but I guess there are.
The first customer happens to be a Ninja Turtle.
The police stopped by.
He showed us his skills.
And we bribed him with candy.
So he left us alone.
More happy kids.
Dad shows them how it’s done. But he actually misses.
Now that the kids are gone, we can eat the rest of the candy.
